To be made alive again spiritually, you need to be born again. To be born again, you need to receive Jesus as Lord and savior.
In John 3, Jesus was explaining this to Nicodemus, one of the elder Pharisees and one of the wisest. However, Nicodemus didn't get it.
“How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

Jesus' answer to Nicodemus' question:
Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

How we become born again:

Adam believed and acted on the wrong thing, therefore he spiritually died. We can believe and act on the right thing, and we can spiritually come alive.
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
