Offertory scripture:
God is good.
How do we honor God? Via tithes and offerings.
Proverbs 3:9-10
Malachi 1:6-8
The priests weren’t giving God their best. Instead they offered lame and sick animals. The point is it’s a thing of the heart; to give God your best, because of your love for Him.
Sermon message:
Thesis: God is good.
We are teaching this because your faith needs to built up. Also, if you don’t believe God is good you may get into a pattern of blaming all problems on God when in reality there’s a devil and the world and sin.
The Bible is a love letter.
It’s important to distinguish between God and Satan.
1 Peter 5:8
Luke 13:16
Jesus: it is good to heal and set people free on the sabbath.
Satan, not God, bound the woman in Luke 13.
What about Adam and Eve?
Genesis 1:26-28
Don’t blame God about Adam and Eve; He gave them authority over all things on earth, and He gave them the option to make choices.
And He gave us Jesus, the name above every other name.
And He gave us armor to protect ourselves against Satan.
Ephesians 6:10-12
God is a good God. He cannot cause both good and evil to happen.
Mark 3:24
Did Jesus heal people that God made sick? No. Satan made them sick, not God.
Luke 13:16 again.
Jesus is good; therefore God is good.

If you’ve seen Jesus, you’ve seen the Father.
The devil oppresses, not God.

Use the name of Jesus and put on the armor of God.

You must believe firmly that God is good.
We need to know God’s word; not to settle for man’s opinion.

God blesses. He wants to bless you.
Point #1: The Bible gives us the truth about God.
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If you’re going through something He can pull you out.
Don’t complain about God; thank him instead for the good He has done.
Point #2: Everything that God created is good.

God is the same every day. Satan is the one who’s bad, not God.

God is always good. Don’t be double minded. Trust always in God. Decide to believe this: that God is always good, no matter what.
