First and foremost, congratulations to the St. Olaf College Class of 2006 on their graduation commencement cermonies today. It's still hard to believe that I'm already halfway through college. But indeed it has been two years since my HS graduation, and it will be only two years until the time that I most likely will graduate (assuming I fill all my requirements over the next 4 semesters and 2 interims).
So here's to Justin, George, Sarah, Erica, Sarah, Peter, Sung, Allie, Matt, Jeff, Tom, Karin, Lauren, Chandler, Joel, Kira, Matthew, Jostein, Sarah, Dan, Brooke, Jacob, Danny, David, Christine, and Catherine, among other '06 friends of mine that happen to not be on Facebook. You guys rule. Stay in touch!
So anyways, my weekend's been at least as interesting as the graduate's. Friday I went to Wrigley Field to watch Team Tribune choke a 5-3 lead in the top of the 9th inning, and yesterday road tripped to Gurnee, IL for another round of twistly, twurly roller coasters tossing me around at 70 mph and whatever g's that translate to that kind of speed. (that's me and my friend making some odd faces on the Raging Bull camera)
Some of my Ole friends have gone to the Metrodome and Valleyfair, more or less to partake in the Minnesota versions of my choice of fun. I've never been to Valleyfair myself, so I can't judge their roller coaster vs. the ones here at Six Flags Great America. But I'm guessing I would probably leave Valleyfair at the end of the day and not feel like I'm still on one of those rides. That's the great thing about Great America. It's the next morning (ok, afternoon) and I still can feel the wind and the g's from Raging Bull.
So here's to frisbee and hangin' out. God is good, as always, as I had to go through a complicated process to upload the pics for this post, as well as a good couple tantrums thrown in (ouch--no pun intended) for good measure. But I'm still here, my computer didn't suffer any punches, and I can go on feeling a bit more relieved than before. Yup, God is good. Thanks.
:-)
