Sermons from Good News: Remember to input faith.

Church 5/22/2024

Sermon message:

Thesis: Remember to input faith.

Point #1: Faith comes by hearing.

Talk to others about Jesus Christ. Share the Gospel.

Mark 16:15-17
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

Signs follow all believers, even today.

Mark 16:18-20
they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

If we’re not seeing signs and wonders, healing, salvation, then we should check ourselves—maybe that’s what we should be talking about.

Matthew 28:18–20
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Point #2: Speak words that will bring faith for salvation.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Faith is needed to get saved.

So how do we witness to others?

Romans 10:8-10
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:14
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

Let this be personal to you.

Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Point #3: Speak words that bring faith for healing.

Acts 4:7-10
And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?” Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.

Speak the name of Jesus over everything, including illness and injury.

Speak “in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.”

Acts 8:5-8
Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city.

Point #4: Speak words that bring faith to you.

Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Colossians 1:12-14
giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Romans 8:31-32
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Romans 8:37
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Deuteronomy 28:13
And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
