The Resurrection of Jesus

Offertory scriptures

An offering to the church is an act of love, in the same way that God offered His Son as a sacrifice for us.

Thank God for Jesus sacrifice

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Sermon message:

God is good. He wants to bless you. He wants to build your faith. And He loves you.

Sermon thesis: The importance of the resurrection of Jesus.

Knowledge is power.

my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
Hosea 4:6 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Hosea%204:6&version=NIV

If we don't have knowledge, our faith can be destroyed.

We believe the resurrection of Jesus Christ is very important and the center and core of our faith. He died, was buried, and rose again.

But it's not important only to Christians. It's important to every person who has ever lived. Their destiny is determined by what they believe about the death and especially the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore this service is very important. It's an opportunity to bring people to Jesus.

Through Adam death came into the world. Before Adam's sin in Genesis 3, there was no death.

And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
Genesis 2:16-17 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Genesis%202:16-17&version=NIV

Not you will "maybe" die but rather you will certainly die.

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.
Genesis 3:2-4 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Genesis%203:2-4&version=NIV

There are two deaths 1. Physical death. 2. Spiritual death.

God meant spiritual death. Satan tricked Adam. Adam chose to believe Satan instead. When he sinned he didn't physically die, not until many years later, but he did die spiritually.

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned —
